is it jump roping or jumping rope?

Easter Sunday:

My 18-year old cousins Bob is always pushing the limits. He has perfected hoola-roping.

I have to say, I'm pretty talented at capturing action shots.

So, is it jump roping or jumping rope?! I would say jump roping but my crazy brazilian colleagues are all saying jumping rope!!
