new favorite website here:
Ok, so you have to agree that sometimes you overhear the FUNNIEST things at church. This is a website that allows people to share some of the most entertaining moments. And here are a few of my favorites:
1. Girl commenting on priesthood lined up to pass the sacrament arranged tallest to shortest: Look Dad, Raising the bar.
2. 9-year-old girl during primary lesson: In the words of Jesus Christ and Hannah Montana, nobody’s perfect.
3. Acting up little boy getting carried out of sacrament meeting by his mother: Bishop! Bishop!! Help! She’s gonna spank me!
Mother under her breath: I guess now everyone knows we spank at our house!
4. Chorister to a Sunbeam on his hands and knees: What are you looking for?
Sunbeam: My booger.
5. 6-year-old boy: How to you spell MTC?
Mom, slowly: M-T-C
6-year-old-boy: Oh! I thought it was spelled E-M-P-T-Y-S-E-A.
6. Teacher During Sharing Time: In the beginning, God created…
CTR 5 boy: Reindeer!
7. Sister reading from Alma 32:21: …therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are seen, which are not true… Wait.
8. 4-year-old Owen: [tells a story of the Turtle Father]
Mother: The Turtle Father?
Owen: You know… God the Turtle Father.
9. Grandson: Why would you want God to steal your soul?
Grandma: What? God doesn’t steal souls.
Grandson: But I heard you sing, “Please steal my soul.”
10. Sunbeam Teacher: Now fold your arms, bow your head and say, ‘Heavenly Father.’
Sunbeam: Heavenly Father.
Sunbeam Teacher: Thank you for our blessings.
Sunbeam: You’re welcome.
11. Bishopric Counselor: Please be reverent and courteous during the performance. Remember that crying children, like good intentions, should be carried out.
12. Sunbeam singing: David O. McKay was swallowed by Joseph Fielding Smith.
13. Sunbeam singing: Follow the prophet! Follow the prophet! Follow the prophet, don’t run awaaaaay.'
14. Older gentleman after a rather high soprano solo of Away in a Manger: Well that woke me up.
15. Teacher: So the Brother of Jared saw the finger of the Lord.
Boy #1: Did he pull it?
Boy #2 pensively: That would have, like, destroyed a mountain.
ok ok ok. You get the gist. I just couldn't resist copying and pasting them. There are SOOO many good ones! I love kids. They make life so much more entertaining.
