happy easter, friends
I love this talk. It's one I listen to and read more than a few times a year, to remind me how much my Savior loves me. And to help me remember that He gave His life for me. He lives.
I've been accompanying a ward choir who is singing "Were you there?" for the Easter Sunday program. It's such a powerful song. I feel the Spirit so strong, especially during the last verse. The lyrics are a lot of repetition, but here are the important lines...
"Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Oh sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?
Oh sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Were you there when He rose up from the grave?
Oh sometimes I feel like shoutin' glory, glory, GLORY!
Were you there when He rose up from the grave?"
